El cristiano se encuentra con una doble tarea: luchar con todas sus fuerzas con el fin de reducir la pobreza de sus hemanos; y al mismo tiempo experimentar en sí y hacer experimentar a los otros que la pobreza libera y da alegría. Pero esta tarea no puede cumplirse en una perspectiva humana. Exige que nuestra mirada esté puesta en Cristo, que nuestro corazón escuche su Palabra, que nuestro gesto imite su ejemplo.

The Christian is given a double task: to work with all their energies to reduce poverty among their brothers and sisters; and at the same time to experience and help others experience the liberty and joy found in poverty. But this task cannot be done simply on human terms. It requires that we fix our eyes on Christ, that our heart listen to his Word, and that our actions imitate his example.
