Sandi Yonikus (1936-1988) was an educator from the University of Illinois and a certified Montessori teacher. As a catechist, she was well versed in Scripture, theology and liturgy. As a workshop presenter she established schools of religious education in the Dioceses of Omaha and Juneau, Alaska. Her Modern Hymns for Young Christians was previously produced by Liturgical Press.

Annika Maria Nelson is studio program curator and art director at the Children’s Museum/Museo de los Niños in San Diego. Her illustrations have appeared in numerous books and journals.
