There are many ways to read the Gospel. To be brief, let us say that the text can be examined for study, and this is exegesis, or for inspiration, and this is prayer. The first part of the book presents a contemplative way of praying the gospel text. This method is not arbitrary at all. As you will see, it results from the inspired nature of the book and it is also the way to enter into the mystery, which it has as a mission to reveal. In the end, it is the correct way, the normal way, of reading the gospels. The second part gives evidence for the underlying mystery that runs through every page of the gospels: the mystery of the Death and Resurrection of our Lord.
