Por primera vez una edición de la Biblia de Jerusalén introduce en su texto el lenguaje propio de América Latina. Dos grupos de expertos, uno de la Universidad Pontificia de México y otro de especialistas colombianos y argentinos, han revisado toda la edición introduciendo las adaptaciones necesarias para hacer el mensaje bíblico más comprensible a los lectores latinoamericanos.
